Open Call is a feature within YouTube Creator Partnerships that connects creators with brands. Brands can post sponsored ad opportunities, and eligible creators can browse Open Calls and submit videos for a chance to earn through AdSense.
If you’re eligible for an Open Call project, you’ll receive an invitation and can browse opportunities in the Earn tab of YouTube Studio. Brands can review and approve your submitted content to use in ad campaigns or organic campaigns.

Find & review projects
You may receive Open Call project invitations through YouTube Studio notifications and email if you’ve enabled email notifications. You can always accept or decline any project invitation.
- Open the YouTube Studio app.
- From the bottom menu, tap Earn.
- Tap YouTube Creator Partnerships.
- Tap Open Call.

- Select a project to review the brief and requirements.
Once you’ve submitted your project, you can review the status of your submissions under Requests.
Submit videos for review
You can submit one video per project for the brand to review. If a brand request changes, you can make minor edits and resubmit your video one time. In the UK, creators must email the brand directly to receive requested changes.
Make sure that your video follows these guidelines:
- Your video must be a Short
- Don’t mention competitor brands
- Use only authorized sounds (royalty free music from YT Audio Library)
- Follow our paid promotion guidelines
- If the video features anyone under 18, make sure an adult is shown in the video with them
To submit a video after being invited to an Open Call:
- Open the YouTube Studio app
.
- Upload your Short as an unlisted video.
- From the bottom menu, tap Earn
YouTube Creator Partnerships.
- Select the Open Call campaign and review the brief.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Submit.
- A list of unlisted Shorts will appear. Select the Short you want to use for the campaign and review the program terms.
- Tap I agree.
Manage video visibility & posting
Your video visibility depends on the project type defined in the brief.
- Non-organic (UGC) projects: Your content remains unlisted and can be used by the brand for their advertising campaigns.
- After your Open Call submission is chosen, your content will be licensed for 6 months of ad usage by the advertiser.
- Organic projects: If a brand selects your video, it will be automatically posted publicly on your channel on the advertiser’s go-live date.
- Note: You must keep the video public for at least 180 days. After 180 days, you can change the visibility to unlisted or private.
Understand project payments
If a brand selects your video, your payment will be sent to your AdSense account within 60 days. Pricing is based on subscriber count and market rates.
Your payment amount is calculated using different channel details, such as your location, subscriber count, and reach when you get the invite. You don’t receive payment for videos that are not selected by the brand.
