Understand your Account status page
Check your Account status page in the YouTube Studio mobile app to find information about your channel and account status.
Use this page to review and take action on potential issues related to monetisation, policy or copyright strikes.
Check your account status
To check your account status:
- Open the YouTube Studio app

- Tap your profile picture
in the top-right corner.
- Tap Account status.

This section shows you any channel violations that may impact your channel's standing on YouTube.
- Copyright strikes: These occur if a copyright owner sends us a valid legal request to remove content that uses their work without permission. YouTube operates on a three-strike copyright system.
- Community Guidelines strikes: These occur if your content violates YouTube's Community Guidelines on topics such as harassment, hate speech or incitement to violence.
To get more details about a specific strike, tap or click the alert. You'll find information about which video was affected and the steps that you can take to resolve the issue, such as using the YouTube Copyright School.
Check your ability to earn
The Ability to earn section gives you an overview of your monetisation health.
- YouTube Partner Programme: Review your current standing or eligibility for our monetisation programme.
- AdSense account: Find alerts related to your payments account, including required tax information or identity verification.
Understand status and strike icons
We use a 'traffic light' system to help you prioritise which issues need your attention most. You may see these icons in the Ability to earn, Account safety and Access to features sections:
Green tick: This shows that there are no alerts or strikes on your account.
Yellow alert: This represents warnings that need your review.
Red alert: This represents high-severity or blocking issues. Take immediate action to prevent risks like loss of monetisation or channel termination.
For copyright and Community Guidelines strikes, you may see:
Strike count: This shows how many active strikes are on your channel out of a maximum of three strikes.
Warning: This means that you've received a Community Guidelines warning.
None: This means that there are no copyright or Community Guidelines strikes on your account.
