HOW TO: Find and share your YouTube Recap
Subscribe to the YouTube Viewers channel for the latest news, updates, and tips.
Your end of year YouTube Recap brings together the unique interests, creators, music, and moments that defined your year on YouTube. Recaps are generated just for you, based on your watch history across YouTube.
Find your Recap
You can find your YouTube Recap either in the YouTube mobile app or by using a computer. You must be signed in to access your Recap.
Open Recap on the YouTube App
You must have the YouTube app installed on your mobile device (Android version 18.43 or newer; iPhone version 18.43 or newer).
Content included & excluded from Recap
Your Recap reflects the content you have watched on YouTube over the past year:
- Your Recap includes both long-form videos and YouTube Shorts.
- Content you watched while signed-in to YouTube on your mobile app, computer, and TV is included as part of your Recap.
- Downloaded videos are part of your YouTube Recap.
- If you use the YouTube Music app to listen to music, you will have a separate YouTube Music Recap available within that app. View your YouTube Music Recap.
The following content types are not included in your Recap:
Eligibility requirements
Your eligibility for YouTube Recap depends on several requirements regarding your account activity and settings. If you cannot access Recap, it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Minimum Watch History: You’ll need enough eligible watch history from January through late October 2025. If your watch history was paused or if you had auto-delete settings turned on, it will not count.
- Age Requirement: You do not meet the minimum age requirement of 13+ (or the applicable age in your country). Supervised accounts are not eligible.
- Account Status: You are not signed-in to YouTube. Delegate users on a Brand account are not eligible. You can learn more to check if you have a Brand account.
- Location: You are located outside of the eligible regions (Recap is available in over 185+ countries and in 17 languages).

Open your Recap on YouTube
- Sign in to the YouTube app

- At the bottom of the screen, tap the You tab.
- Tap the Your YouTube Recap is here! banner to get your Recap.
Share your YouTube Recap
Your YouTube Recap can be easily shared with your friends, family, or followers. You can share your Recap in a few different ways by looking for the Share button at the bottom of each card.
Share cards from your Recap
- To share cards from your Recap, select the
icon when viewing your Recap.
- To download a card, select the
icon. After downloading, you can share the card using other social apps of your choice.

Why does my Recap look different from others?
My Recap included a ‘Personality’ card, and said I was most compatible with other Personality types. Where can I learn more about these?
Your YouTube Recaps may give you a Personality type. There are a few different Personality types available:

Can I get a new Recap, or delete it?
