What is an integrated e-commerce platform?

E-commerce platforms may have other features, but their ability to create a shop is what defines them. Some YouTube creators start and host their shop with e-commerce platforms. Typically, the creator or retailer is responsible for managing their shop, including but not limited to:

- Delivery
YouTube Shopping has integrations with some e-commerce platforms to make it easier for creators with shops to link the shop to their YouTube channel. The integration allows creators and brands to display products from their e-commerce shop on YouTube Shopping features. How does reporting and data sharing work with an integrated e-commerce platform?
YouTube receives transaction data related to the use of YouTube Shopping features from the e-commerce platform under the terms of that integration. Transaction-level data includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- The item identifier uploaded in Google Merchant Center
- Pricing
- Taxes
- Delivery and handling
- Actions associated with the conversion (purchase or refund)
YouTube collects engagement data generated from end-user interactions with your offers in Shopping features. Engagement data may include views, impressions and user clicks. YouTube may share engagement data with creators through YouTube Studio. Data retention and storage is subject to Google's privacy and data retention policies.
