Ask Studio is an AI creative partner integrated into YouTube Studio that helps you summarise comments and feedback from your videos, understand your video channel stats and brainstorm ideas and outlines for your next videos.
Eligibility
Ask Studio is available to most YouTube creators globally.
It is available only on web browsers on your computer. If you don't see Ask Studio in the top corner within YouTube Studio, it means that you don't have access to the feature.

Get started with Ask Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio or access Ask Studio directly to get started.
- In the top-right corner of the page, tap Ask Studio

- Select one of the suggested prompts or type your own question.
Best practices for using Ask Studio
- Begin with a clear objective: Think about what you want to achieve. Are you looking for insights on your community or to better understand your latest video's analytics?
- Be specific with your questions: The more precise your prompts, the better the AI can tailor its responses. For example, instead of 'Tell me about my channel', try 'What are the common themes in comments on my recent video about [topic]?' or 'How did my [video title] video perform recently?'.

in the chat box.

- Try utilising the suggested prompts: You may use pre-defined options like 'Summarise comments' as a starting point and then refine your question based on those. You can also use the built-in guide 'How can Ask Studio help me?'.
- Experiment: You can try different phrasing or follow-up questions if the initial response isn't exactly what you're looking for.
Create and develop video concepts
Save an idea card
When Ask Studio generates a suggestion that you want to keep, you can save it as an idea card:
- In your Ask Studio conversation, find the suggestion that you want to save.
- On the idea card, click the
icon.
- To find your idea card later, go to the Inspiration tab and click Saved ideas.
If you want to refine your idea later, open any saved card from the Inspiration tab to launch a new interaction within Ask Studio.
Get feedback on your videos
Ask Studio provides creative best practices and suggestions on your content, including unpublished videos.
- Review scripts: Copy and paste your script directly into Ask Studio to get feedback based on creative best practices.
- Get feedback on videos before publishing: Select draft, private or unlisted videos from your channel to get feedback based on creative best practices.
These ideas are suggestions. You can always choose if you want to incorporate feedback into your final video.
How data is collected and used
When you interact with Ask Studio, it will collect data around your usage of the feature, including your conversations and feedback that you submit. This data will be used to develop and improve the product experience. This data will not be used to train the underlying generative machine-learning models that power this product. Conversations connected with your channel as part of your interaction with Ask Studio will be deleted automatically after 45 days.
To help with quality and improve Ask Studio, human reviewers may read and process your conversations. We take steps to protect your privacy as part of this process. These steps include disconnecting your conversations from your Google Account before reviewers see them. We also use automated tools to help recognise and remove personal information, like email addresses and phone numbers. - On a response, select the thumbs up or thumbs down and optionally share the rationale for your rating. Optionally, you can also share the rationale for your rating.

The feedback is reviewed by specially trained human reviewers to help identify, address and report potential problems raised in feedback, including as required under applicable laws. YouTube uses this data to provide, improve and develop YouTube products, services and machine learning technologies, as explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
