To avoid disruption while watching a video in the YouTube mobile app, you can lock your screen. Locking your screen prevents unintentional taps or swipes from interrupting playback.

To lock your screen:
- Go to a video that you'd like to watch.
- Tap Settings

- Tap Screen lock

.Once locked, the video player will remain locked until you unlock it.
Note: Some in-app notifications and ads may temporarily allow you to interact with the screen when it's locked. Once the notification is dismissed or the ad has stopped playing, the screen will continue to be locked.
To unlock your screen:
- Tap anywhere on the video player for the lock button to appear.
- Select Tap to unlock.
