Improve videos with Enhancements

You can make tweaks and add effects to your videos directly on YouTube or when you upload a video using Enhancement features. Follow the steps below to make changes using a desktop computer or a mobile device.

Your video must not have received over 100,000 views and not have a Content ID Match for you to be able to save your changes to the video. If this is the case, you can create a new video (with a new video URL) with the edits using the Save as new video option.

Use a computer to make Enhancements

If you're on your computer, you don't need to re-upload a video to make enhancements. You can make changes to uploaded videos (the video's URL, view count, and comments will stay the same).

Steps to make Enhancements on your computer

  1. Go to your channel's Video Manager. Get there by clicking your icon in the top right > Creator Studio. On the left, click Video Manager.
  2. For the video you want to edit, click Edit > Enhancements.
  3. Make your changes using the features available on desktop listed below.
  4. Click Save. If you want to create a new video with these enhancements (and keep the original video unchanged), click Save as new video.
Note: You can use the enhancements features to make changes to existing videos, but you can't use it to replace an existing upload with an entirely new video file.
