Get a refund

Refunds may be available for the following YouTube services and memberships. Note: Not all payments on YouTube services and memberships are refundable. See below for details.  

If you made a purchase using your iPhone or iPad, or signed up for a YouTube paid membership via iTunes, you’ll need to get in touch with Apple support to request a refund. Apple’s refund policy will apply.

Movie & show purchases or rentals

If you made a purchase on an iPhone or iPad, you'll need to get in touch with Apple support to request a refund. Apple's own refund policy will apply.

For all other purchases, get in touch with our YouTube support team for help with your refund. 

YouTube Premium & YouTube Music Premium memberships

You may cancel a YouTube paid membership at any time. Once you cancel, you will not be charged again, and your benefits will continue until the end of the billing cycle. Note that you won't be refunded for the period of time between when you cancel and when your membership officially ends.

If content or features related to your YouTube paid membership are defective, unavailable, or do not perform as stated, you may contact our support team to request a refund at any time. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially elapsed billing periods. 

If you're a member who signed up via Apple, you’ll need to contact Apple support to request a refund for your membership. Apple’s refund policy will apply.

Super Chat

Super Chat voluntary payments are non-refundable. If you notice an unauthorized Super Chat charge on your account, please contact our support team.

If you purchased a Super Chat on an iOS device, you'll need to contact Apple Support to request a refund. Apple's own refund policy will apply.


Donations are non-refundable. If you're having trouble with a payment, you can get in touch with our support team.
