Purchase and watch Primetime Channels on YouTube

You can browse and watch official movies, TV shows and live content on up to three devices with Primetime Channels on YouTube. You can do this by signing up for an individual network on YouTube TV or following the steps below to purchase a Primetime Channel.

Note: Content providers determine whether there are ads. Depending on the network and specific content that you purchase, some programmes will have ad breaks while others will not. Check your provider's documentation for details on your plan and the ad experience.

How to purchase Primetime Channels on YouTube [US Only]

Purchase and watch Primetime Channels on the YouTube iPhone and iPad app

1. Open the YouTube app .
2. Under Primetime Channels, select the channel that you want.
3. Select the channel logo and follow the steps to purchase. You can also search for a network channel and select Sign up to purchase a Primetime Channel. Once you've signed up, you can watch the networks that you've purchased here and in your library. You may need to turn on location sharing to watch certain content.

Purchase and watch Primetime Channels on a smart TV

1. Open the YouTube app on your supported smart TV. Make sure that your computer and smart TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Go to Movies & shows.
3. Under Primetime Channels, select the channel that you want.
4. Select the channel logo and follow the steps to purchase. You can also search for a network channel and select Sign up to purchase a Primetime Channel. Once you've signed up, you can watch the networks that you've purchased here and in your library. You may need to turn on location sharing to watch certain content.

Note: You may see restrictions for certain programmes with Primetime Channels on YouTube. Content owners set these viewing restrictions based on your current location, the content, device and other restrictions. If a restriction is in effect in your location, we'll do our best to let you know.

Find promotional offers

You may be eligible for an introductory discount if you're a new subscriber to that specific channel. If you have subscribed to the channel before, you'll see the standard price. If you sign up for a promotional offer, you pay the lower price for the specific time listed (for example, three months). After that period ends, your subscription automatically renews at the standard monthly price. You can check your renewal date and price in your Settings. We'll also send you an email when you sign up that tells you exactly when the standard price begins.

Note: Promotional prices may not appear in the YouTube app on your iPhone or iPad due to billing limitations. To get the discount, go to youtube.com on your web browser and follow the sign-up instructions. Once you sign up, you can watch the channel in the YouTube app on your Apple device.

Info for YouTube Premium subscribers

Some YouTube Premium features, like ad-free viewing, are not available on Primetime Channels. If you're a YouTube Premium subscriber and you purchase a Primetime Channel, you cannot:

• Download programmes for offline viewing
• Play videos in the background while using other apps on a mobile device
• Watch programmes without ad breaks

Info for YouTube TV subscribers

Most networks available for YouTube TV members to purchase individually are also available to buy with Primetime Channels. This option excludes:

• Network packages, like Sports Plus, Spanish Plus and Entertainment Plus.
• Certain networks within these packages are available to buy individually with Primetime Channels.

While YouTube TV subscribers can watch selected programmes on YouTube and YouTube TV, the watching experience may vary. YouTube gives access to certain premium features, content and tiers that may not be available to you on YouTube TV.
