If you’re using the YouTube app on your TV, you’ll need both your TV and your mobile device to verify your location. You’ll need to turn on Location Sharing on your mobile web browser on your phone or tablet, so that the YouTube app on your TV can verify your location.

Turn on Location Sharing on your computer or mobile device

Turn on Location Sharing for YouTube in your browser. Here's how to turn on Location Sharing in Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome Chrome.

Turn on Location Sharing in macOS

macOS Version 13.5.0 does not allow setting location for apps. If the above steps did not work, upgrade your macOS to 13.5.1 or newer. To upgrade your macOS:
 
Open Apple menu  and then click System Settings and then click General and then click Software Update.

To turn on Location Sharing for apps in macOS:

  1. Open Apple menu  and then click System Settings and then click Privacy & Security and then click Location Services.
  2. Click the button to turn on Location Sharing for your browser. The button will turn blue.

Edit your location on your smart TV

When you select a program to watch that requires location verification, like a live or upcoming game on NFL Sunday Ticket, you’ll see a prompt instructing you to verify your location using a mobile device. Make sure Location Sharing on your mobile device is turned on before you try to verify your location. Your location will be set up on your smart TV after you complete the initial verification.

Once your location is saved on your smart TV, you can edit or clear it by going to your device settings.

To edit your location on a smart TV:

  1. Open the YouTube app on your TV.
