Can you hear the audio of a YouTube video on your computer, but the video player is green? If so, try watching the video in a different browser. If that doesn't work, here are some more troubleshooting tips.
Turn off hardware accelerationFollow the instructions below for Chrome:
- At the top right, select More
.
- Select Settings.
- Select Advanced.
- Select System.
- Turn off 'Use hardware acceleration when available'.

Updating your computer's graphics driver may correct many of the problems listed above.
For PC users: Download the latest driver from your computer manufacturer's website.
For Mac users with macOS Mojave or later:
- Click the Apple logo.
- In the Apple Menu, click System Preferences.
- Click Software Update.
- Click Update Now.
- Install the Mac OS update if available – it will include the graphics driver update.
