Advanced search (Filters)

When you search for videos and other content on YouTube, you can refine your search by using advanced filters.

YouTube app

You can filter videos by factors like upload date, type and duration.

1. Open the YouTube app.
2. Tap Search .
3. Enter a search term.
4. On the right, tap More Filters.
5. Select the search filters that you want to add like Upload date, Duration and Subtitles/CC.
6. To adjust the filters for the search, tap Filter again and select the filters that you want.

Mobile site

You can filter by Upload Date and Category.

1. Go to m.youtube.com.
2. Tap Search .
3. Enter a search term.
4. Tap Filter .
5. Tap the down arrows below the search box.
