Set up supervised child accounts

Parents who decide that their child under 13 (or the relevant age in their country/region) is ready to explore YouTube can set up a supervised child account. Supervised child accounts can be created on a shared device with a signed-in parent or with a signed-in Google Account that is linked to a parent's own Google Account if the child is using YouTube on their own device.

In both cases, when a parent sets up a supervised child account, they select a content setting that limits the videos and music that their child has access to. Learn more about supervised child accounts.
