Get started with supervised accounts

Parents who decide that their child under 13 (or the relevant age in their country/region) is ready to explore YouTube can set up a supervised experience on YouTube linked to their own account. This limits the videos that a child can find and watch to a parent-selected content setting. Learn more about supervised accounts.

Unblock videos

Note: Blocking isn't currently available in supervised experiences on YouTube.

If you block videos or channels in YouTube Kids and you've created a supervised experience on YouTube for the same child's account, the videos or channels that you block in YouTube Kids will also be blocked when your child uses YouTube.

You can unblock those videos and channels, and they'll be unblocked in both YouTube Kids and the supervised experience on YouTube. If you've only set up a supervised experience for your child on YouTube and not on YouTube Kids, the 'Unblock' setting won't do anything at this time.
