Scoped view & mapping headers for Exchange

Use the following headers when you're creating a CSV file for a scoped view or mapping for a Microsoft Exchange migration. Your choice of headers depends on the data that you want to migrate.

CSV file format

• All headers and entries are case-sensitive unless indicated.
• When using a mapping CSV file, prefix the column headers belonging to the source connection with Source. Prefix the target connection column headers with Target.
• Make sure the character encoding of the CSV file is set to UTF-8.

CSV file headers for Exchange (source)

Header	Use and examples
ExchangeCalendar Must be preceded by an ExchangeUser column and value	To map data from a user’s Exchange calendar, use the ExchangeCalendar header and the path to the Calendar. Example ExchangeCalendar /Calendar/My Sub Calendar
ExchangeContactFolder Must be preceded by an ExchangeUser column and value	To map data from a user’s Exchange contacts folder, use the ExchangeContactFolder header and the path to the contacts folder. Example ExchangeContactFolder /Contacts/my contact folder
ExchangeMailFolder Must be preceded by an ExchangeUser column and value	To map data from a user’s Exchange mail folder, use the ExchangeMailFolder header and the path to the folder. Example ExchangeMailFolder /projects/project1/
ExchangePublicFolder	To map specific Exchange public folders, use the ExchangePublicFolder header and the path of the Exchange public folder. Google Workspace Migrate also migrates items in subfolders, unless you exclude them using the settings template. For details, go to Filter public folder content. ExchangeRoot	To map all public folders, use the ExchangeRoot header and the PublicFolders string. Example ExchangeRoot PublicFolders
ExchangeService Must be preceded by an ExchangeUser column and value	To map data from a specified Exchange service, use the ExchangeService header with one of the following strings: Calendar Contacts Mail Mail Archive (Maps the entire mail archive from Exchange. To map specific subfolders, create a manual mapping instead. For details, go to Create & manage a mapping.) Tasks Example ExchangeService Mail
ExchangeTasksFolder Must be preceded by an ExchangeUser column and value	To map data from a user’s Exchange tasks folder, use the ExchangeTasksFolder header and the path to the tasks folder. Example ExchangeTasksFolder /Tasks/Sub Task Folder
ExchangeUser	To map Exchange users, use the ExchangeUser header with the email address of the Exchange user. Also use this header to map Exchange calendar resources. Example ExchangeUser [e-mail] [e-mail]

MapChildrenOnly Must be preceded by a column with a folder value	To map the contents of the folder, but not the folder itself, use the MapChildrenOnly header with the (case-insensitive) string "true." To map the folder and its content, omit the column or use the (case-insensitive) string "false." Example MapChildrenOnly true

CSV file headers for Google Workspace (target)

Header	Use and examples
GCalendar Must be preceded by a GUser column and value	To map calendar events to a secondary calendar, use the GCalendar header with the Google Calendar's calendar ID.  Example GCalendar [e-mail] For more information, see Monitoring points for Exchange.
GCalendarResource	To map calendar resources, use the GCalendarResource header with the calendar resource's email address.  Example GCalendarResource [e-mail]
GDrive Must be preceded by a GUser column and value	To map data to a user’s My Drive or to a shared drive, use the GDrive header with one of the following strings: GMyDrive GSharedDrives Example GDrive GMyDrive
GFolder Must be preceded by a GUser column and value	To map data to a folder inside a user’s My Drive or shared drive, use the GFolder header with the folder’s ID. Find the ID value by navigating to the folder and inspecting the URL. For example, the URL https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/BDEz25J3DzFb has an ID value of BDEz25J3DzFb. Example GFolder BDEz25J3DzFb
GGroup	To map data to a group in Google Groups, use the GGroup header with the group’s email address. Example GGroup [e-mail]
GOrgUnit	To map data to a specific organizational unit, use the GOrgUnit header and the path to the organizational unit. Example GOrgUnit /Org_Unit/Sub_Org_Unit
GService Must be preceded by a GUser column and value	To map data to a user’s Google Workspace service, use the GService header with one of the following strings: GCalendarService GContactService GDrive GMailService–Use this string for email and task data.  GSitesService Example GService GMailService
GSharedDrive Must be preceded by a GUser column and value	To map data to a shared drive, use the GSharedDrive header with the shared drive’s ID. Find the ID value by navigating to the shared drive root folder and inspecting the URL. For example, the URL https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/BDEz25J3DzFb has an ID value of BDEz25J3DzFb. Example GSharedDrive BDEz25J3DzFb
GUser	To map data to a Google Workspace user, use the GUser header with the email address of the user. Example GUser [e-mail]
