App permissions
- The templates available to you rely on your Google app access. For example, if your account doesn't have Gmail enabled, templates that use Gmail steps won't appear.
- To get the most out of Workspace Studio, turn on smart features in Google Workspace.
- On your computer, go to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Google Drive, or Google Meet.
- At the top right, click Settings
See all settings.
- Under the “General” tab, scroll to "Google Workspace smart features."
- Click Manage Workspace smart feature settings.
- Turn a smart feature setting on:
- [Required] Smart features in Google Workspace
- [Recommended] Smart features in other Google products
- At the bottom right, click Save.
To get a detailed overview of how these settings work, how your data is handled, and how to change them, go to Learn about smart features & controls for Google Workspace.
For work or school accounts:
- Your admin must enable Gemini. If you can't access Workspace Studio, contact your admin.
- For school accounts, you can't use AI steps if you're under 18. If someone shares a flow with AI steps with you, the steps are removed when you open the flow.
