Google WiFi Deadzone & iPohne WiFI Calling Issues 0 Recommended Answers 0 Replies 0 Upvotes

So, I've recieved my new Google OnHub (Model P-Link OnHub TGR1900BLU)

The device is running latest software version 11895.109.11.

I am running a single OnHub in my network which is running in Bridge Mode.

Deadzone:

My devices (iPhone and Laptop) Has the OnHub in plain sight and is 3 ft away from it. At certain angels the connection is not working. I am connected to the WiFi of the OnHub but evyerything i try to load on the devices is just stalled and tries to load. If I move 2-3 inches to the right or to the left, everything is loaded, but in that exact position I am not able to load anything. I have 4 of these deadzones around the OnHub Hotspot and from all 4 zones I have the OnHub in plain sight.

WiFi Calling:

Using WiFi calling from my iPhone is a bit of a struggle with the Google OnHub. I need to stand still at one location for other people to be able to hear me without lag or drop in sound quality.

I had none of these issues with my old (and cheaper!) WiFi Access Point but with this new Google OnHub device I am experiencing these two annoying bugs. I would expect Google branded hardware to work 100%, but to my biggest disappointment the described bugs occur and it is starting to annoy me a lot!

I am on the edge of calling it a $100 loss on the Google OnHub device and switch back to my old AP which worked without any issues at all.

Regards From A Very Disappointed Buyer!

Martin Brandt.
