How Google Wifi works with OnHub

Today, we are excited to announce that Google Wifi and OnHub now work seamlessly together to bring better coverage to more parts of your home.

Ready to set them up? Just follow these simple instructions.

Works with OnHub

OnHub and Google Wifi will work together. So if you have an OnHub and need more coverage, simply add a Wifi point to your existing network and -- voila -- you now have a mesh Wi-Fi network.

Heads up: The term "Wifi point" includes OnHub. OnHub can act as a Wifi point in your Google Wifi system.

Same app, simple setup

Google Wifi and OnHub will both use the same app, so if you want to connect a Wifi point to your OnHub, it’ll be easy and familiar. The app will walk you through everything.

Any additional Wifi points will use your existing OnHub network, so there’s no need to create a new Wi-Fi name or password. You did most of the work already!

What's a mesh network?

Google Wifi is built on our new mesh Wi-Fi technology. Within our mesh network, each Google Wifi point creates a high-powered connection, and they work together to determine the best path between points for your data.

The result is fast Wi-Fi everywhere in your house, not just right next to the router. You can even roam throughout the house while on a video call or while streaming a movie without the signal dropping.
