Cannot send email on Google WiFi
In order to curb email spamming abuse on the Google WiFi for Mountain View network, we currently block outgoing connections of TCP on port 25 (this is the default email or SMTP setting). If your email client is configured to use port 25, you will be unable to send email, but you will still be able to receive it.
Many third-party email providers provide an alternate method to connect to them called Authenticated SMTP, which uses TCP port 587. These services vary, however, so we recommend contacting your email provider for more information.
