Connect with Linux

As with any operating system, there are several options for connecting to the Google WiFi network using Linux. The following procedure provides basic instructions.

To connect to Google WiFi with a Linux system:

  1. From the command line, enter:

    iwconfig eth0 essid GoogleWiFi mode Managed rate auto key off

    The interface name might be different, depending on the chipset of the wireless device.

  2. If you have problems, to displays a list of error messages, enter:

    /var/log/messages
