The Widevine Classic Live product has been sunset in favor of a DASH based live solution. We recently released a compatibility update to the Widevine Classic Live Packager; but there are no plans to implement bug fixes or new features. As a result, we have discontinued the onsite certification course for this product. The Live Packager software and documentation is available on CWIP portal to Live certified companies. Companies interested in deploying the Live product can reach out to pre-certified CWIP partners (list here - http://www.widevine.com/cwip/integrators.html).
The next evolution is to move towards common encryption DASH that supports live streaming - we will provide additional details as the design and implementation is completed on the engineering side.
