Discover Feed is sparse. "No Cards Available Right Now"

My Discover feed has been sparse for the last 3 months. I often see just 1 article, and when I tap for "more stories", none are available.

This occurs with both the Google app and the Chrome Browser on mobile and desktop. I'm led to believe there is a backend issue connected to my Google account because this Discover happens across devices.

Below my phone details, but again, I think there is a deeper issue with my Google account.

Google app version is 10.16.5.21.arm64

Android version is PQ3A.190705.001

My device is the Pixel 2

@ Himanshu Khanijo and User 3302893035394467747, what is your Android app version number, what is your Google app version, what region are you in so country of residence, what trouble shooting tips have you tried, does this happen for all of your Google Accounts, and what device (model and make) do you have?

Hi, I'm in the US region using OnePlus5. Android version is OxygenOS 9.0.8. I tried rebooting the device, clearing the cache and storage. I was on a higher app version before 12.something I guess. I uninstalled the updates but it didn't help. Current software version is 10.49.11.21.arm64. There is no option to uninstall the app so that I can reinstall it. Google app store doesnt show an option to update again.

All fixed, my issue has been resolved.

Solution: I removed dozens of "not interested" topics from my personal settings and now Discover is flowing with content again. Evidently, I completely froze the recommendation algorithm by limiting topics.

In the future, instead of marking stories as "not interested", I will use the "More/Less" toggle.

I tried doing the same, but it still stops on the first page. When I click more stories, it says "No cards available right now"
