As stated, I can’t access Google from iMessage extensions. I have Google downloaded, looking up the problem isn’t any help.

Having the exact same issue. I noticed it yesterday but the App Store shows it being updated 3 days ago, wonder if the update broke the extension. No mention in the patch notes about the extension specifically. This is the best gif search in iMessage. It’s been killing my meme game.

same issue here - glad its just not me - been trying to figure it out for an hour. Has anyone tried deleting the Google app and reinstalling?

Yeah it didn’t work at all. It really seems like google is just quietly removing it. I really wish we could get an answer one way or another.

Hi A Goose,

I've shared this with the Google Search community team. That doesn't guarantee a response but just wanted to let you know that your feedback has been shared.

Hi all,

To update on this, it does look like this particular feature has been removed I'm afraid. If this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback to Google through the in-app feedback option.

Hi David,

Thank you for the update! It’s so nice to have an answer. I have submitted the feedback as suggested(fingers crossed). Is there any reason as to why it was removed? I never noticed any buggy behavior from my side. It really is the best gif/meme search from any extension I have used and I find myself not even bothering to switch apps to copy and paste it into iMessage now (loss of searches for google). It would be nice to see some more transparency in the “what’s new” section in the App Store to let the end users know that they have removed it. Thankfully we had you to give us a solid answer. Thanks again for all your help

@cody - there is a battle going on between Apple and Google. The recent addition of Google Maps to the CarPlay dashboard was huge, but removal of other Google services (i.e. extension) is not unusual.
