Google Image Search preview pic on right side in white box, yuck.

3/29/19 The preview has changed and I don't like it. I prefer it the way it was before - open larger within a black box below the thumbnail. This new version doesn't enlarge the image enough.

Y'all realize that this forum isn't the feedback mechanism for Image Search right?

Feel free to gripe if it makes you feel better, but suggest you use the "Send Feedback" link at the bottom of the search results to ensure your criticism is aggregated properly with that from others.

Just wanted to make sure this message is reiterated even though it was stated earlier

Google constantly targets random users with experimental variations to the Search and Image Search interfaces. Sometimes the differences are barely noticeable. Other variations are much more noticeable.

You're probably seeing one of these experiments. You could try clearing cache and cookies but, if that doesn't help, there's nothing you can do but wait until Google thinks you've had enough and releases you from the experiment!

As this is a user-to-user community, there's nothing we can do about this. I encourage you to send your feedback direct to Google using the "Send Feedback" link at the bottom of the results page.

I work on a surface laptop with a small screen. forcing the preview to the right only makes it more difficult to zoom in and see what I wanted to see!!!! Please change this back or make it configurable!

I have been using Google image search as an educational tool in the classroom for years. The small preview on the right means that I no longer use Google for educational purposes in the classroom ever now. I do not see how a smaller preview not centred on the screen is beneficial to anyone. Please undo this error.

Indeed. The new Google image search preview pane on the right is horrible. Please reinstate the old centered above the search results interface.

Installed the extension. Sanity returned. Like most things in life, corporations are going to do what they have/want to do. The people will always find workarounds. Case in point: when Twitter redesigned their layout and everyone hated it; an extension to return the layout to the old format was available within days. I also tried DuckDuckGo and liked it. I will start using it more and more and see how it is. This is the only way the likes of Google will ever make a change; if their market share drops significantly.

Easy , don’t use Google at all. No similar problems using any other browser. Google permanently keeps a record of your every web search , shares your most private information with anyone willing to buy it , targets you with adds from third party retail that they’ve given every bit of your information to. Google doesn’t monitor this page , what utter bullshit , if you’re using Google they monitor your every key stroke.

Since no one like it, why you keep it ??!! at least offer the option to set back the "NORMAL" format!! PLZZZZZZ .......... it's how products which use to be good arrived at their "the begining of the end"!! watch out GOOGLE!!!

where is the send feedback option on the IMAGE results page? I want to add a screenshot along with the complaint, but it can be done only through the "all" results page.
