Dark theme became unusable switching to light on its own glitch

Dark theme has worked perfectly for a long time until now. Whenever I search anything on Google, the theme switches to light on its own. For some reason, refreshing it makes it dark again. When it comes to the "Images" section it's particularly bad because it always happens and refreshing doesn't change anything. Google Images is stuck on light.

I have tried:

- Going to the cog and switching theme from "device default" to "dark mode". When I'm on the "Images" section, clicking on "dark mode" does nothing and instead takes me to the "advanced settings" page, which on their own are for some reason in light mode.

- Clearing cookies

- Switching browser

- Switching account

- Changing to dark mode from advanced settings

- Changing browser theme

Nothing has so far worked.

Any help is appreciated!

I also want to know if there's anyone else experiencing the same thing!
