Visually Similar Images isn't working on the Image Search

Question

Previously when I used an image to search, I could also use Visually Similar Images. However in recent days clicking on any of the visually similar images simply redirects me to the image search home page with a long link in the search bar. How do I regain use of this feature?

I've now referred this issue to the Google Search team for investgation.

If you see something on the Google Search results pages that doesn't look or work right, the best thing to do is to send feedback direct to Google. Look for a "Feedback" link - in this case there is one directly beneath the panel of "Visually similar images".
 
There's also a "Send feedback" link at the bottom of the results page.

I just had confirmation from the Google Search team that this issue has been fixed.
 
I can confirm that it's fixed for me.
