How to get back to an old layout of images?

I mean, photos on Google Images always appeard under the clicked image, on a black horizontal stripe. Now it's on the right side. I do not like it. Is any way to change back to an old style?

This is driving me insane. I use a large monitor and squashing the expanded image on to the right of the screen is completely asinine. This is extremely unintuitive, but I can't seem to find any way to revert the results back to how they were.

Settings / safari / search engine. And click on another one like yahoo. Problem sorted. I know not everyone likes yahoo or bing but at least it gets rid of that ridiculous image view.

Just discovered https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-images-restored/ncndcebmkibkhopclfdjfacgfholcghi?hl=en through here and finally the LOGICAL image search is back instead of that totally non-intuitive image search Google has now.

Hello, I took an IQ test in jail that says I'm the smartest man alive.  I have got a 3 point plan to fix everything.

  1. Google Images progressively keeps getting worse.
  2. A few years ago, you could click on a thumbnail and view the full image. Now they send you on a safari to the bloody website and hunting for it, through pages and pages,  sometimes never finding it.
  3. Who ever keeps crippling Google Images should be sentenced to 1-night of rehabilation.
  4. And it's time to jump ship. Who knows a better alternative?

This new, off-centered right side, smaller layout is extremely difficult to see for those of us with vision impairments or other eye conditions. Making google images almost unusable for certain disabled people.

That's absolutely unacceptable and they really should have consulted some experts on designing for use by said users. A major part of their operation in now worthless to a large section of the population.

If you use a Mac and use Safari, hold the Command key when clicking an image

I second all the complaints.  I prefer the old Google images.  I am a graphic artist, and Google Images was one of my best sources of high resolution images, if not the best.  There is no way of getting a printable copy of images.  All you get is thumbnails, and the resolution data isn't even accessible any more.  IMO, from my point of view, Google totally ruined a wonderful resource for images.  Shame on you, Google.

Best suggestion I have is to right click on the image you want and open in new window , then in new window place cursor on the image and hold Ctrl Key and scroll to resize screen image.
Not ideal but helps.
Agree with everyone else, GOOGLE let us decide what is good and what is not also give us choices.
It appears app makers want to change things for change sake, thank god they are not updating the wheel or they may decide square wheels may be good to stop cars rolling away !!!

Shitty Google. Restore it. It was much better. The new version is terrible and I can't zoom the picture without craping whole page.
