Point Break Media!! This company is a scammer who's says they are GOOGLE!

This company calls you with an automated message stating your company listing with google is expiring because I didn't update my listing per their requirements.  They make is sound as if its Google calling you and they say if you don't connect with them your Business listing will be removed permanently.

I waited online for almost 10 mins for some dumb B!?CH to starting giving me their advertising bs on what they can do for my company.  I went off on her to say the least for wasting my time and said I'm going to report their company for acting like they are GOOGLE.

Hello John,

It is very safe to assume that it was not google as you have done.  A lot of folks out there pretending to be google and sounds like you handled it just fine....  perhaps take a look at the following...
Avoid and report Google Scams.  More specifically this portion about Telemarketing.  There is an option there to report it...

They just called me and represented themselves as affiliates with Google and told me that if I did not "get verified" with them, all of my "listings" would be removed from Google.

They also claimed that I would rank number one for any keyword I want and theat "nobody else in the world" would be able to outrank me once I "got verified."

Of course, I knew this was all BS, but I let her keep digging her hole.  I asked about this whole "getting verified" thing only to find out it costs $300!

After I "got verified" she said I would receive something in the mail from Google telling me my business was now verified and that I'm "all set."

This is a definite scam and if I were Google I would go after these people.

BTW, since Arizona has a "one party wiretap" law, I was able to record the entire call without having to tell her I was doing so.

If anyone from Google would like to contact me, I will happily turn over this recording to their legal department.

Point Break Media called me today explaining they work with google and tired to scam me $600 for my 2 google listings.  They ended up hanging up on me when I told them I was going to call google about what they were offering.

Hi all,

@cjmo75 and @Shani, good deal in not being taken.  Sharing the experience here will certainly help others avoid getting taken.
