Fix problems

Deleted activity shows in My Activity

  • Make sure the device is connected to the internet. If you delete items from My Activity on one device, they might still appear on any devices that are offline. When the device connects to the internet, the items will be removed.
  • Clear your cache and cookies.

Data about your use of products & services

When you use Google products and services, some of your data is kept in your Google Account. This includes when and how you use certain features.

Your use of products and services is saved, even if you delete the details of your activity or other items. For example: after you delete a search from My Activity, your account will store the fact that you searched for something, but not what you searched for.

The Google Privacy Policy explains how Google uses this data. It helps Google do things like:

  • Prevent spam and abuse
  • Improve products and services, and develop new ones
  • Understand how different products and features impact each other
  • Get business insights, like how many people use certain products or features and for how long

This data is saved as long as it's relevant to meet uses like those above. If you delete your account, this data is removed from it.
