Recent Locations setting on mobile
When you’re on the go, it’s great to have search results that are relevant for the location that you’re in. If your current location is unavailable for any reason, we can use your Recent Locations to provide you with relevant local results.
Turn Recent Locations on or off
You’re in control of what locations Google saves from your previous searches. Follow the instructions below to turn Recent Locations on or off.
- Visit google.com on your device and touch Settings > Search settings at the bottom of the page. (You can also visit google.com/preferences directly.)
- In the “Recent Locations” section, select “Save recent locations” to turn on and "Do not save" to turn off.
- Touch Clear to delete any Recent Locations that have already been saved.
- Touch Save at the bottom of the page.
About the information that is saved
Depending on your search and your location, the information saved will vary, but may include: country, region, city, address or places or GPS location.
