Set up Auto Dark mode for Google app in iPhone

Important: To use this feature, your iPhone needs to be set to dark mode in the device's settings.

Use Auto Dark mode to have web pages display in sync with your device's Dark mode settings. You can also use it for specific websites. When Dark mode is turned on, text can be easier to read in a dark room to match your device’s dark theme setting.

Turn Auto Dark mode on or off

1. On your device, open the Google app .
2. Tap any link from the Home page or Search results page.
3. At the top right, tap More Auto Dark mode.
4. Turn the toggle to turn on Auto Dark mode.

Customize Auto Dark mode

1. Open the Google app .
2. Tap any link from the Home page or Search results page.
3. At the top right, tap More Auto Dark mode.
4. Turn the toggle to customize the Auto Dark mode setting.
   1. Turn on Auto Dark mode.
   2. Modify for this site.
