You can open multiple tabs in the Google app on iPhone and iPad. You can also view all of your tabs and switch between them. When you open a new tab, you can start a new search.
Open a new tab
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs
New tab
.
Open a tab from recent searches
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs.
- At the top right, tap History
.
- Find and select the search result you want to open.
Find your interests
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs
Saved.
- On the Interests page, navigate to the tab you want.
Close tabs
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs.
- Find the tab that you want to close.
- In the upper corner of the tab, tap Close
.
Tip: To close all tabs, in the upper corner, tap More
Close all open tabs.
Automatically close tabs
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs.
- In the upper right corner, tap More
Tabs settings
Clear tabs.
- Select when to close tabs automatically.
Organize your tabs
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- To display all tabs, at the bottom, tap Tabs.
- To move a tab, tap it and hold. Drag it to the spot you want.
Find an open tab
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google app
.
- At the bottom, tap Tabs.
- At the top, tap the Search bar
.
- Enter a keyword related to the tab that you want.
- When related tabs appear, select the tab that you want.
