Turn off Personal results

Important: When "Personal results" are off, you won't get personalized predictions or recommendations based on your past searches. If "Web & App Activity" is on, your Search history is saved in your Google Account and can give you more personalized experiences in other Google services. Learn how to find & control your Web & App Activity.

If you’re signed in to your Google Account and "Personal results" are on, you can also get personalized predictions and recommendations in Google Search. If you don’t want to get predictions and recommendations, turn off Personal results.

Turn off trending searches

If you don’t want to get trending searches in the Google app, you can change your settings.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google app Google Search.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial and then Settings and then General.

Report a prediction

While we do our best to prevent inappropriate predictions, we don’t always get it right. You can report a prediction you think violates one of the autocomplete policies.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google app Google Search or go to google.com.
  2. In the search bar, enter a search.
  3. Predictions show up below the search bar. To report a prediction:
    • On google.com in a browser: Long press on a prediction. Tap Report this.
    • In the Google app: Swipe left on a prediction. Tap Information Information and then Report this.

We’ll analyze your feedback, but won't automatically remove reported predictions.
