Fix a problem

Play progress doesn’t sync across devices
  • Turn on Web & App Activity.
  • Sign in to the same Google Account across the devices you want to sync.
Downloads disappeared

By default, Google Podcasts removes downloaded episodes:

  • 24 hours after you finish them.
  • 30 days after you download them.

To change these settings:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Podcasts app Google podcasts.
  2. At the bottom, tap Home Home.
  3. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Podcast settings.
    • For completed episodes, tap Remove completed episodes and choose a time period.
    • For unfinished episodes, tap Remove unfinished episodes and choose a time period.
App doesn’t refresh
General issues
  1. Restart your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Go to the Google app page in the Play Store.
  3. Tap Update.
    • If "Installed” appears, you already have the latest version.
