The new Google Core update has significantly impacted CCN.com. Why did this update have that large impact on our site? We got a team of 60+ journalists and editors, if this continues I'm afraid that we need to start downsizing the entire staff.

Please update us on the issue.

Something odd happening - not sure what exactly.
See indexed results for main domain (not subdomains)
Checking a few at random I find:
Blank page >> https://www.ccn. com/advertise
Blank page >>  https://www.ccn. com/write-for-bitcoins
Blank page >>  https://www.ccn .com/ethereum-classic-price
Why might these be showing a Cache of hacked.com? And now responding 404.
Same for https://www.ccn .com/ico-analysis-ethearnal/
Urls with  <   /?p=  > seem to be like this,  but so do those others.
So check out what is going on with the site.
Scan with a security plugin such as wordfence.

What do you mean with showing a blank page? Those pages do work for me?

Hi, do you by any chance see improvements in rankings since this week? We had a similar hit as CCN with the June update. We crashed 50-60% in visibility and visistors. Now, all of the sudden since a couple days everything seems to slowly revert back to what it was before the June update.

I see a new Core update is currently rolling out. So that must be the reason. It's crazy how these core updates can make a site loose or gain 60% traffic overnight. This time I am not complaning though :)

Gets me thinking if Google maybe messed up something with the June update, lots of sites crashed unexpectetly, and now Google is reverting some of these changes..? Maybe it's some kind of testing or data collection for Google. Anyway, looks like we are getting back our positions which we lost with the June update so that's great!
