the google search console API V3 get method (as outlined here) https://developers.google.com/webmaster-tools/search-console-api-original/v3/sitemaps/get

does no longer deliver indexing count back, indexing count is always zero. i.e. this sitemap

 "path": "https://www.oktav.com/en-lm-l-sitemap-0.xml",
 "isPending": false,
 "isSitemapsIndex": false,
 "type": "sitemap",
 "lastDownloaded": "2019-06-04T05:56:26.205Z",
 "warnings": "0",
 "errors": "0",
 "contents": [
   "type": "web",
   "submitted": "129",
   "indexed": "0"

this is not an isolated issue and happens on a lot of domains for all(?) newly(?) submitted sitemaps.

the new Google Search Console > Sitemaps > /en-lm-l-sitemap-0.xml  shows
Valid 120
Exlcuded 9

and this pretty soon after the inital submit of the sitemap.

  • Is this a bug on the Search Console API side that will get fixed?
  • Is Google deprecating Google Search Console V3?
  • Is there anything we can do?

๐Ÿคจ So basically Google deprecated an API (that by the way is a first class citizen / data source  of Google Data Studio) without an announcement, official statement or grace period. Plus returns wrong data.

Do I see this correct or what am I missing?

Well they haven't deprecated the whole API (as far as I know)
but yes, the 'indexed' count, seems to be no longer supported.

Are you finding the data for not indexed pages in GSC is wrong or solely in the API?
