I want to know can i give canonical from https://blog.oureducation.in/rank-2-best-ias-coaching-institutes-in-guwahati/ to  https://blog.oureducation.in/best-ias-coaching-institutes-in-guwahati/ as Rank 2 IAS Coaching is guwahati is mentioned in the second url as a  part of content. Means can i give canonical from a to B when only some part of B is Mentioned in A.
As I have see Canonical can be given in the condition when there is Minor difference in pages and you give canonical to the one which is the Better version among the two. In Part A I have explained only about Rank 1 and in Part B I have give  Top 10 Rank.

You could certainly try. The pages seem substantially different to me so not sure if it would be honored or not.

Why not merge them with a 301?

Hi Prats, a canonical is a hint which means it might or might not be respected. As OptimistPrime mentioned, the only way you'll know if it works is to try it. If you want to make sure they're consolidated, it's probably best to merge the two pages and redirect.
