The Google resources that you should know about!
Welcome to the Google Search Central Community!
You will find here a channel to discuss about SEO with other professionals, debug together issues on websites, and generally learn loads about SEO ! This community lives in parallel to many other resources that Google has put online to help webmasters and SEOs how to optimize their site for Search. This post aims at putting together a (non-exhaustive) list of those resources :
- This community is hosted alongside the Google Search Central and the Search Console Help Center, which contain so much information for webmasters of all levels :
- Beginners should make sure they check-out the comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Starter Guide or the Frequently Asked Questions.
- For the more advanced, there are many details guides on several topics, including:
- Site moves, with or without URL changes.
- Information on all the Search Console reports.
- The Best Practives for tasks such as "website testing with Google Search" - "Steps to a Google-friendly site" - "Troubleshooting issues" - and many others!
- Beginners should make sure they check-out the comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Starter Guide or the Frequently Asked Questions.
- Official news and updates are found on the Google Search Central blog.
- Google teams are on social media, most notably on the official Twitter account.
By doing a bit of additional research, you should be able to identify individual Googlers who talk about Google Search on Twitter and other platforms!
- The Google Search Central YouTube channel is regularly updated, with many videos on all things SEO.
- The Google Search Centarl website also holds a lot of information on Search, including guides on:
- Extensive resources are provided for webmasters whose sites have been hacked.
DO not hesitate, when you have discussions, to indicate which resources you have consulted so that others can know where to direct you. :)
