Remove old HTTP links from Google Search

Hi , I have build a website from scratch , I have delete everything from database and Site structure. Website is connected perfect with Google Search Console and all the new links are visible on Google Search but I still see old links with bad SEO details and HTTP in front of those links.

I have tried to remove them from Google Search Console but there still visible. Now I am trying still to try to remove them and Google Search Console telling me that is not on this property , something that I understand because those links is with http in front and not with https.

What is the solution for those Links?

Thanks.

Well ideally you should have redirected all the versions of your link i.e. https/www/non-www to one version of https  ie wither with www or non www. Once the the redirect is setup, you can create two properties in search console, one is domain property which includes all the versions of a url and the other one is url prefix property which includes a specific type of url like https://xyz.com. This will be the destination url where the users are eventually redirected. https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/crawling/301-redirects

Don't use the url removal tool, it doesn't remove url from search it just hides them. Kindly avoid using this tool. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9689846?hl=en

Solution-
If you are seeing http link in search then make sure you have a 301 redirect setup from http to https.  One more thing you can try is, list all the http url in sitemap and ping the sitemap to bot. So when google crawls those urls it encounters the redirect. The http urls will be eventually swapped on search, though it may take some time. For search console you can create  a domain property and a url prefix property for https version. https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/sitemaps/build-sitemap , https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/34592?hl=en

Hi there,

http and httpS versions are both different properties. Those http version of urls which are indexed in google will go away if they redirect to httpS version of your website. Make sure all your domain versions like www, http, non-www, should have a 301 redirect to one final httpS version of your website.

In search console you need to check with httpS property only and it can take some time to replace all http versions with httpS in Google search.

You should not remove any of the http url from search console you should redirect http to httpS thats it. Removal can lead to other issues.

I understand both of your messages , the thing is that those links are not similar. I mean it is not like http://test.com/about to https://test.com/about . Those are pretty bad old links when the domain had no SSL and no right link structure.

The original website is:
https://grecorama.gr/

The old shows up like this:

This is one of the bad urls: http://www.grecorama.gr/?id=5373299d6a961&lang=en
If you see this URL is a very wrong type of URL and the new design doesn't have those type of links anymore or this page is not even exist in the new website design.

Those links now just redirects to the home page now . I will try the solutions that you have point.
