Hypothesis: Current Google algorithm doesn't meet the Japanese Society Web
0
* I'm not a speaker of English.
* This feedback was written in Japanese first, and I used Google Translate to convert this to English.
* The reason I post this topic in English is: Japanese people is seriously poor at discussion, so I avoid them.
* To understand this issue, we need some bilingual people who can understand both English and Japanese. Google must provide each algorithm optimized not only in the Occident but also in the Orient. To do so, Google should understand the existence of this issue.

-------------------------
Summary:

1. Japanese society is extremely composed of herd mentality. There, diversity is often neglected.
2. The situation is the same even on the World Wide Web. If someone make a website through unique sense of value, the website will most likely trigger a backlash from Japanese society.
3. So the vast majority of Japanese people become lurkers on the Web. That's because they are afraid of being hated by the society.
4. The search results we get from Google Search are based on "Collective intelligence", which comes from diversity of society.
5. But the Japanese Web lacks the very diversity, because of 1-3 above. Japanese people rarely link to the site who truly prefer. They just keep silent. Most of the backlinks that Japanese sites have are from a small number of authorities who are biased.
6. So Google's algorithm doesn't meet the Japanese Web where the vast majority of Web users are lurkers and only a small number of authorities write things that are biased.
7. Today, Google is giving more and more acclaim to "official websites" and "authoritative domain". This behavior of Google seems to be based on the "Authoritativeness" of "E-A-T", but it is easy to understand that this way doesn't work for Japanese biased Web.
8. Google underestimates personal sites and overestimates official sites and existing authorities. Google needs to hone its ability to judge the true quality of what is actually written on the Japanese page.

The following is the body:

Before reading this feedback, please read the following articles as prior knowledge about "collective intelligence" and "diversity" that lead to Google's original intentions, and the unusually high lurker rate on the Japanese Web.

*Please use Google Translate when reading this article.

Next, please read the following article that accused Google of the recent tendency of "preferential treatment of official websites, disregard for personal websites".

The following is the feedback text based on the above.

For example, there is a site called Yahoo Chiebukuro (Yahoo知恵袋) in Japan, but such a Japanese question site is less useful than an overseas question site (eg Stack overFlow, Quora) where practical and serious answers are easily received. It is easy to get inaccurate answers in Japanese question site. For example, in response to the question "I have something I don't understand about XX.", the answers are provocative like "Hmm. So?" or "I don't know the details." It's on a low level.

When searching on Google, it would be a problem if such sites are displayed at the top, but recently Google displays such sites at the top just because it is an "official site" and "because it is a domain operated by a large company". Google misjudges the true quality of what is actually written on the page. This behavior of Google seems to be based on the "Authoritativeness" of E-A-T, but current Google algorithm doesn't meet the Japanese Web where the vast majority of Web users are lurkers and only a small number of authorities write things that are biased. It does not lead to the correct information. Rather, "informal but personal sites created by individuals energetically" are often more accurate, and adding them also increases "diversity", which in turn increases the accuracy of "collective intelligence." It will also lead to improvement of Japanese search result.

What does Google think about this? I suggest that only Google Japan should build a special algorithm specialized for the Japanese-style Web separately from overseas Google.

https://president.jp/articles/-/33239

https://kakkon.net/2019autumn-update/

I'm gradually getting frustrated by the fact that everyone ignores this issue. Do not neglect the valuable feedbacks from the Oriental users. I was disappointed with Google's tendency to downplay the Orient

READ AT LEAST THE ABOVE "SUMMARY".
Show your attitude to know about the current state of the Japanese Web. Listen to the voices of Japanese native users.

It is a sin to refuse to know the current state of affairs in Japanese society.
Because Google has a great influence on Japan, Google is responsible for trying to find out about what is happening on the Japanese web.
