Soft 404 errors after last algorithm update - June 4
Google removed 20K pages from its index due to Soft 404 error after the major update in early June. Pages are not empty.

It's nearly impossible to diagnose from the outside, it's definitely one for the developers I'd say.
If you use the URL inspection tool in search console and do a live test, you can look at the more info tab and see what resources can't be loaded, and the JavaScript console messages, perhaps these will point you / the Dev team to the issue.

If you run the pages through the mobile friendly test, there's a lot of 499 errors printed out at the top of the page:
Error like strings can trip the soft 404 mechanism into thinking this is actually an error page with a 200 status.
I'd work on eliminating them, (perhaps log them to the console if they are needed for diagnostics?) and see if the URLs start getting indexed again.
