Resize images and videos

There are two ways to resize images and videos. Use the Selection tool to stretch the image to the size you like, or change the size in the Properties panel.

To resize an image or video using the Selection tool:

  1. In the toolbar, click the Selection tool.
  2. Make sure the Transform control checkbox is selected in the tool options bar.
  3. Select the image you want to resize.
  4. Drag one of the control points on the sides or corners of the selection box.
    • Hold the Shift key while dragging to maintain the original aspect ratio of the selection.

To resize an image or video using the Properties panel:

  1. In the toolbar, click the Selection tool.
  2. Select the image you want to resize.
  3. In the Properties panel, change the width and height values.
    • Click the lock icon before resizing to maintain the original aspect ratio.

Images will change their aspect ratio to conform to the new boundaries, while videos will maintain their aspect ratio, staying as large as possible within the new boundaries.

Resizing SVGs

If you're resizing an SVG image or shape to make it larger, use the width and height properties rather than 3D scaling. If you're using the Selection tool transform control, you may need to change the sizing style.
