Using events

Set the Target element

The Target element is the element (or an element's ancestor) that initiates the event. For example, you might have an image of a button that you want the user to touch to initiate an animation.

To set the target:

  • Right-click the element.
  • Select "Add event" from the context menu. The events dialog opens with the selected object selected in the Target section. Alternatively, you can bring up the events dialog by clicking '+' in the events panel and select the target from the list displayed in Target view. You can only select an object to be a target if the element has an ID attribute. If the element doesn't have an ID, you'll be prompted to add one.
