Add text

To add text to your HTML document or ad:

  1. Select the Text tool in the toolbar.
  2. Optionally, choose the HTML tag you want to use from the tag menu, or enter your own tag type in the tag field. By default, the text tool creates a div tag.
  3. Choose a font from the font menu.
  4. Click and drag on the stage to create a fixed size text container, or click on the stage to create a container that grows as you type.
  5. Enter your text.

To select text in a text container:

  1. Select the Text tool in the toolbar.
  2. Drag over the text you want to modify.
  3. To deselect text, press Esc.

To resize a text container:

  1. Select the Text tool in the toolbar
  2. Click the text container you want to re-size
  3. Click and drag one of the resize handles on the sides (or corners) of the text container

Associating font styles and tag types

To make your work with text easier, you can associate font styles with text tags. This lets you create text blocks with specific fonts, sizes, styles, and colors when you select a tag type.

To associate a text style with a text tag:

  1. Make sure you have the text tool selected, then select the font, size, style and color that you want to associate with the a text tag.
  2. In the Tag menu, hover over the selector to the right of the tag you want to style, and select "Set as default" from the menu. The menu should change to reflect your new settings.

To create a block of text with a saved style:

  1. Make sure you have the text tool selected, then choose a tag from the Tag menu
  2. Click and drag on the stage to create a fixed size text container, or click on the stage to create a container that grows as you type.
  3. Enter your text.

To add a saved style to an existing block of text:

  1. Make sure you have the text tool selected, then Drag over the text you want to style
  2. In the Tag dropdown, hover over the selector to the right of the tag you want to style, and select "Apply default" from the menu.
