My Huawei smartwatch is constantly doing the "wear os got a key update" learn more screen. 0 Recommended Answers 6 Replies 9 Upvotes

I have tried everything I can to get my watch functioning properly again But the screen I mention In the title won't stop Appearing.the app draw won't even work . All it gives me is the "learn more" button to press(basically locked into pressing it)
First tried rebooting
Second I checked the apps(since I don't know which one would be causing this if any i'd rather not go mucking around)
I even did a maintenance check(just to see if something might have happened to the watch physically), so it's most likely software problem.
Third I went online, some say a temporary fix is to factory reset the device, others say there is a way to skip it but I don't see how. Someone said there is a demo mode and live mode(could it have switched modes somehow?, If so what would be the process to bring it out of demo mode?)
I would like some information on how I might fix this problem

I am having the exact issue on my brand new (less than 24-hours old) Movado Connect.  I am so furious that there are no answers to this problem, but yet it appears multiple people are having these issues. I am giving it 1 more day for someone to answer this feed on how to fix this issue or the watch goes back.  I spent way to much money; this is ridiculous.

Here's how I fixed it: Open the Wear OS app on your phone. Scroll down to Advanced Settings. Tap Forget Watch. Read the message about needing to factory reset your watch. Tap the link below the message to Forget Watch. On your watch go into Settings, Disconnect and reset, tap the checkmark to begin the factory reset which will delete all user data from your watch. Once the phone restarts go back to the Wear OS app on your phone and do the Setup.

I did the factory reset (Settings/System/Disconnect and Reset). When my Huawei Watch 2 rebooted I received a notice that 6 apps needed to be updated. One of these was Wear OS. I clicked to go ahead with the update. The apps were all updated, including the Wear OS. Since then (a day ago) I have not seen the "Wear OS got a key update" screen and my watch is working fine. What a relief! I'm having to reinstall the apps I had put on the watch earlier but it's a small price to pay for getting my watch back.

I did the fix but it leads me back to the error. Not a true fix for my new TicWatch pro

When you get the "Learn More" button, try long-pressing on that button. You should then get an option to skip the tutorial and move on with your life.
