    How can I edit my business information?

    In order to edit your business information, please follow the instructions below:

    1. Select the relevant location from the list at the main screen of the Dashboard.
    2. From here, you can perform the following actions:
    • Edit location name
    • Add/edit business Description
    • Provide additional location info
    • Adjust your pin location on the map
    • Adjust your address text
    • Add/edit contact info
    • Add/edit your business' opening hours

    3. After you finished making the necessary changes, scroll down and click Update Location.

    How can I edit my images?

    • Log in to your account at waze.com/business.
    • In your advertiser account, click the Edit ad images link at the bottom.
    • Upload your new images according to our specs, and click the Update Ad button at the bottom of the page.

    Once you update your images, your account will be reviewed by the Waze team. This process can take up to 48 hours.

    Can I advertise several locations under one account?

    Yes, you can advertise more than one location using the same account.

    To do so, first create an account for the first location. Once the account is created, go to the main screen of the Dashboard and click Add Location. You can add as many locations as you wish.

    Remember: The budget is shared between all locations. If you advertise five locations for example, select a budget that will be sufficient to cover all five locations together.

    How do I choose my budget?

    The budget and CPM (the cost for 1,000 impressions) you set are calculated into the maximum number of impressions your pins reach every month. For example, with$1 CPM and a $60 budget, the maximum number of impressions would be 60,000 per month.

    The system spreads the impressions across the days of the month. In the example above, that would mean around 2,000 impressions per day. In high-traffic areas, with many Wazers driving by, the minimum budget will not serve pin impressions very often. 

    If you advertise more than one location, make sure to select a budget that is sufficient enough to serve an effective number of impressions across all advertised locations. 

    Remember — our system will spread the budget according to the traffic around each location in order to optimize impressions.

    The bottom line: The higher the budget, the more impressions you get and the more often your pins will appear on the map.

    I want to pause/resume my advertising. What should I do?

    Pause/resume your advertising at any given time by following these steps:

    1. Log in to your Dashboard at waze.com/business
    2. Click the Account Settings link at the top of the main screen.
    3. Click Pause Advertising.
    • Your account will be paused until you click Resume Advertising. Your branded pins will no longer appear on Waze map and in the search results.

    Please note: If you stop advertising in the middle of the month, you will be charged only for the impressions accumulated until then.

    How can I resume advertising?

    1. Log in to your dashboard at https://biz.waze.com/users/login
    2. Click the Account Settings link at the top of the main screen.
    3. Click the Resume Advertising button.
    • Your account is now active. Ads will resume serving impressions within a few minutes and your business will appear on the search results within 24 hours.

    How can I display a Pin only during my opening hours?

    If you have a very limited budget, you can maximize it by choosing to display your Pin only during your business's opening hours.

    Please note: This practice is not recommended since it substantially minimizes your business's exposure.

    Once your opening hours are updated, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Account Settings link at the top of the main screen.
    2. In the Details tab, go to the Ad Unit section.
    3. Mark the checkbox Only Show During Opening Hours located below the 'pins' ad unit.
    4. Click Update Account.
    Tip: we recommend keeping branded search available 24/7, for Wazers to plan their future ride to your business.

    How can I change my budget?

    1. Login to your account at waze.com/business
    2. Click the Account Settings link at the top of the page.
    3. In the Details tab, adjust the Budget field.
    4. Click Update Account.
    Make sure the new budget is higher than the current month's budget spent. If you wish to decrease your budget, do it at the beginning of the following month.

    How can I edit my credit card details?

    1. Login to your account at waze.com/business
    2. Click the Account Settings link at the top of the page.
    3. Choose the Billing tab.
    4. Under the Your Payment Method section, click Change Payment Method.
    5. Enter your new credit card details and click Update Payment Method.

    Where can I see my invoices?

    Our system automatically sends invoices to all our customers during the first week of each month.

    Those invoices are sent to the email address entered in your account. Please verify that address:
    Login to your account at biz.waze.com, click the Account Settings link at the top, and then click on the Billing tab. You will see the Email For Invoices field in that tab.

    Please verify that the invoice email didn't end up in your spam folder.

    You can also download all of your invoices from the Invoices tab in the same Account Settings page.

    What types of credit cards can I use?

    Our system accepts the following international credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB and American Express. Debit cards are not supported.
     

    I received an email about a failed charge, What should I do?

    Our system has made several attempts to charge your credit card with no success.  
    In order to settle your debt and reactivate your account, please do the following:
    1. Login to your account at https://biz.waze.com
    2. Go to Account Settings and select the Billing tab.
    3. Click Pay Now to settle the debt.
    4. Go to the Details tab and click Resume Advertising.
    If the Pay Now button is not available, contact us at here.

    Can I remove my credit card information?

    Waze is unable to completely delete your credit card information from the system. 
    However, Waze makes the security and confidentiality of your information our highest priority.
    Waze is in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry security guidelines and industry standards for all credit card types we support.
    We assure you that any information you have provided will remain secure and encrypted.

     

  3. Troubleshooting

    I forgot my password, how can I reset it?

    If you forgot your password and wish to reset it, follow these steps:

    • Go to biz.waze.com and click Login.
    • Click Forgot your password? and follow the instructions on the screen.
    • Make sure to enter the email address you used to create your Waze account.
       

    You will receive an email from us to reset your password. (If you do not receive the email in your inbox, please check your spam folder as well.)

    Please note: The new password must be at least 8 characters long (letters, digits or punctuation marks) and contain at least one English letter and one digit or punctuation mark (spaces are not allowed).

    Why can't I see my Pin on the map?

    There can be several reasons for why your Pin is not displayed:

    You just recently created your account

    After you create an account, it's reviewed by the Waze Ads team. This process usually takes up to 48 hours. You will not see your business in the search results or on the map until the ad is approved.
      

    Your budget is too low

        

    It's very important to understand how ads are displayed on Waze. Let's take a look at the following example:

    You promote a business in a big city and you choose to invest $600 per month with a $1 CPM bid (cost per thousand impressions). This means you can reach a maximum of 600,000 monthly impressions.

    • Your pin ad is not displayed all the time. Our system will distribute impressions according to the monthly budget and CPM bid you choose.
    • The system spreads these impressions over the total number of days in the month — in this case, about 20,000 impressions per day.
    • This number of impressions is spread optimally throughout the day.​

    If your budget is too low, it’s possible that you won’t have enough impressions to reach each and every Wazer that passes by your business in a given day. Consider increasing your budget to reach more potential clients.

    You have just replaced your creatives

    After you upload new creatives, your account is reviewed by the Waze Ads team to make sure your creatives align with our policy. This process takes up to 24 hours.

    Why can't I find my business on the search results? 

    To find your business in the search results, Wazers have to search for your exact business name. 

    For example: If I own a pizza place called "Mike's Pizza," my business will appear in the search results only when Wazers search for the exact name of my business. If they only search for “pizza,” my business will not appear in the search results.
    Make sure the names of your advertised locations are your business's most known and recognized ones. Exclude any city/state/street information unless it's an integral part of your business's name. 
     

    Why can't I change my budget?

    Errors in budget edits occur if you try  to decrease the budget to an amount lower than the current month's budget spend. The new monthly budget has to be higher than the current spend.

    If you wish to decrease your budget below your current spend, you can do so at the beginning of the next month.
