Manage budgets and bids
The Waze Local solution is based on a cost per thousand impressions bidding model.
To advertise on Waze, you must meet a minimum budget of $60 USD per month and a minimum standard bid of $1 USD. The budget and bid are used to calculate the maximum number of impressions that the Pin(s) could reach every month.
For example, for the standard $1 USD bid (the cost of 1,000 impressions) and the minimum $60 USD budget, the maximum number of impressions is 60,000 per month. The system takes the impressions and spreads them out over the total number of days in the month.
In this example, that equates to around 2,000 impressions per day. The daily impressions are spread throughout the day and optimized based on customer usage.
While the bid can vary between locations, the budget you set is shared between all locations. Therefore, if you plan to advertise multiple locations, choose a budget that will be sufficient enough to cover them all.
When you have more than one Pin, the minimum $60 USD budget might not be enough to serve an efficient number of impressions for each location.
Edit your budget
To edit your budget, simply go to the main screen and click Account Settings.
Then, edit the Budget field to the desired budget and click Update Account.
Don't worry, if you changed the budget in the middle of the month, our system will charge you only for the amount relative to the remaining days of the month.
Edit your CPM bid
To edit a location's CPM bid, follow these steps:
1. Select the relevant location from the list in the main screen of the Dashboard.
2. Under Your bid, edit the bid field and click Update Location.
