Manage Budgets and Bids
Waze Local Starter is based on a cost-per-thousand-impressions bidding model.
To advertise on Waze Local Starter, you must meet a minimum budget of $60 USD per month. Your budget and bid will determine the maximum number of impressions your pins could reach every month.
For example, for a $2 USD CPM bid and $60 USD budget, the maximum number of impressions is 30,000 per month. The system spreads these impressions as evenly as possible across the month.
In this example, that equates to around 1,000 impressions per day. The daily impressions are spread throughout the day and optimized based on the traffic around your business.
While your CPM bid can vary between locations, your budget is shared between all locations. Therefore, if you plan to advertise multiple locations, choose a budget that will be sufficient to cover them all.
When you advertise more than one location, the minimum $60 USD budget might not be enough to serve an impactful number of impressions for each location.
Edit your budget
- From the left panel, go to Manage Campaigns
- Select the Pin campaign indicated by PIN#Business Name
- Edit the Budget field to your new monthly budget and click Update Campaign
Don't worry, if you changed the budget in the middle of the month, our system will deliver impressions relative to the number of remaining days of the month.
Edit your CPM bid
To edit a location's CPM bid, follow these steps:
1. Select a location from the list in the main screen of the Dashboard.
2. Under Your bid, edit the bid field and click Update Location.
