Use this tab to update your basic information at any time. Click Save changes and your updates will be sent to our team for approval.

Until your updates are approved, requesting access to data tools and integrations will not be available. 

Account information

Your logo

Your logo is used to represent your organization on the Waze platform. Logos must be 200 x 200 pixels in size to upload.

Main Point of Contact

The main point of contact is someone you appoint from your organization. You should choose someone who can act as a decision-maker, and follow up with key stakeholders to make sure projects are delivered on time. The main point of contact is responsible for the following:

  • Serves as the primary contact with Waze for Cities
  • Leads all joint projects between your organization and Waze for Cities
  • Shares access to Waze for Cities tools with the relevant stakeholders
  • Oversees internal communication about Waze for Cities projects

Points of Contact

We recommend that partners have designated Main, Technical, Communications, and Emergency Points of Contacts (POCs). One person can fill more than one role.

POCs need to Google-link their work email addresses if they wish to access the Partner Portal. They can do so by filling in the information here.

You can refer to the chart below for guidance when choosing your POCs.

Communications POC

  • Responsible for public relations and manages relationship with the press
  • Creates strategic communication and engagement plan
  • Generates content to publicize Waze partnership through partner channels
  • Experience with communication strategy
  • Familiar with social media platforms
  • Excellent relationship with press
  • Communicates Waze brand positioning

Technical POC

  • Good with Waze tools, including the Partners Portal
  • Looks for opportunities to share data
  • Ability to design solutions with technical systems
  • Flags issues to Waze for Cities help team
  • Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Software development experience in general purpose programming languages
  • Experience with different technical software (e.g. Design, test software, etc.)

Emergency  POC

  • Designs emergency response operations
  • Manages relationship with Waze during time of crisis (winter storms, hurricanes, etc.)
  • Can make timely decisions in a time of crisis
Alert: The Communications POC should not engage the press without first completing a communications and marketing review with one of Waze’s local press agencies.



Your polygons define the areas in which you want to exchange data with Waze. They are used in each of your Waze for Cities data sharing tools and integrations.


Your username is the official name that represents your organization on the Waze platform. You can change your username at any time and it will be sent to our team for approval.  

Keep in mind that while you wait for approval, you will not be able to request access to data tools and integrations.

Connect with the community

Use this section to tell us if you want to join the Waze for Cities Forum. You can also add the email addresses of other people at your organization who want to have access to the forum.

License type

Use this section to authorize sublicensees to use your account.

To add a sublicensed partner:

  1. In the License type section, choose Manage sublicensee partners. 
    The partners team will look into your request.
  2. Once your request is approved, open the Partners portal.
  3. In the left-side bar, in the new sublicensees section, add the sublicensed partner. 

    The sublicensed partner will be invited to create their account. 
Note: The sublicensed partner's name will include the parent partner's name in brackets () 
For example: Traffic & Transportation Department(Municipality of NYC).
