The Waze partner Portal

Once your application to the Global Events Partners has been approved, you'll get access to the Partner Portal.

Expand the each of the topics below to learn about the various sections of the Portal and how to start sharing your data.

Onboarding

The onboarding process is broken down into a few different parts.

  1. Complete the Basic Information with information about your organization’s main points of contact for this partnership, your institutional Waze username and logo:
    1. Points of contact
    2. Waze username - Waze credits users who report closures or incidents by displaying usernames next to events in the Waze app. Your institutional username should indicate your organization, as it will be used for attribution purposes when using Waze tools.
    3. Coverage area - a polygon which covers the areas in which you operate; this area will be the basis for access to various Waze tools.
    4. Additional Event Partner Forum Subscribers - the forum is a great place to communicate with other partners and Waze staff. Please include any other individuals in your organization who may want to interact in the forum.
    5. Logo - the logo will be used for attribution purposes; it should be in png format and 200x200 pixels.
  2. Once you finish the Basic Information section, watch the Waze Map Editor video for information about how to add closures to the map.
  3. Review our promotion toolkit to learn how to leverage the partnership.

Once you complete the onboarding process, you should see additional panels on the left side plus the option to share your Portal account with other members of your organization.

To share your Portal with other individuals, click Share  and type in the person’s email address.
